Richard “Rich” Arroyo, Worshipful Master of Carmel Lodge #421, passed away on November 13, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of kindness. Born on January 6, 1975, Rich’s journey through life was marked by a vibrant spirit and a deep commitment to the principles of Freemasonry.

Initiated in Illinois as an Entered Apprentice on November 12, 1998, he progressed to Fellow Craft on January 14, 1999, and was raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason on January 28, 1999. Moving from Illinois to Indiana in 2018, his passion for Masonry culminated in his role as Worshipful Master of Carmel Lodge #421 in 2023, where he led with grace.

Rich’s life was a tapestry of love. He was a wonderful soul, whose warmth and generosity touched many. The loss of his father in 2021 deeply affected him, casting a shadow over his last years, yet he continued to be a source of light for all who knew him.

He leaves behind a family who will miss him dearly – his Mother, his Brothers, and his children – Peter, Joseph, and Madeleine. Rich’s presence will be profoundly missed.

As we bid farewell to Worshipful Brother Rich Arroyo, we remember a man whose life was a testament to the values of brotherhood, integrity, and compassion. His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of his family, friends, and brothers in Freemasonry. Rest in peace, dear Brother, your legacy will endure in the lives you touched.
