Last Thursday, worthy and well qualified candidate Luke Taylor Pettijohn became Carmel Lodge #421’s newest EA.  Congratulations to Luke!  Witnessing the degree were Luke’s father Ron Pettijohn, (Uncle) Joe Pettijohn, (Uncle) Mike Pettijohn, and Greg Peyton, a close family friend.  Father Ron, Uncle Joe, and Uncle Mike all became Master Masons at #421 back in 1979.  Adding to the history, was the fact that the Pettijohn family has a Masonry lineage going back to the Civil War!

After all was said and done, the degree was performed exceedingly well. Much thanks goes out to all the #421 members who helped make this EA degree a success!  Most 421 officers “moved up a seat” which added to the challenge of performing the degree.

Earlier, a delicious spaghetti dinner served by Brandon “Helmut” Schultz with assistance from “Canada Dave” gave sustenance to all participants.  After the degree, further study at “The Library” completed a fine evening of fellowship.
