The start of July is an exciting time for Carmel Lodge #421 Masons as we have two exciting events happening for the holiday.  All Masons, their families and friends are encouraged to join us in participating in either event.

EVENT #1: Volunteers Needed For July 3 and July 4 Carmelfest #421 “Fundraising Food Booth”

2016 Fundraising Food Booth

This is our main annual fundraiser for Carmel Lodge #421, Job’s Daughters, DeMolay, American Cancer Society, Amy Burch, and much more. We are STILL IN NEED OF VOLUNTEERS for our food booth to perform 2 hour shifts on Monday July 3rd and Tues July 4th.  Please check our  schedule for volunteer available shifts and then let our WM Dave Philpott know by emailing [email protected] or calling (317) 514-4868.  Check our volunteer schedule at https://carmel421.com/foodbooth17

#421 will operate our fundraising food booth on both Monday, July 3rd (3pm – 10:30pm) and Tues, July 4th (12 Noon to 10:30pm).  CarmelFest has grown to be the largest single annual community gathering for the citizens of Hamilton County and the surrounding neighborhoods. For a full list of CarmelFest events – including the fireworks – visit the official website.

EVENT #2: Come Walk With Carmel #421 In The July 4th: Carmelfest Parade!

#421 Masons Walk In 2015 Carmel Fest Parade

Carmel #421 will be walking in the 2017 Carmelfest parade on July 4th.  All #421 Masons, Job’s Daughters, and Demolay members are welcome to join us in this visible community event.  Those wishing to walk in the parade will meet in the Merchants Square parking lot (in front of Flix Brewhouse in Carmel) at approximately 8:30am.  The theme of the Carmelfest parade is “Hats off to America” and this year or parade float will feature that theme and be even bigger and more impressive than past years floats (thanks to Jim Brooks who has been working hard getting it ready).  If you are a #421 Mason and have a Carmel #421 T-Shirt and Hat* – we encourage you to wear it at the parade and food booth – so we can create awareness about our fraternity.

Carmel #421 encourages our Job’s Daughters and DeMolay chapters to join us in the parade!  There is no cost to join us.  And you can bring your family and/or friends to walk with us.  Our float will feature signs from Job’s Daughters, DeMolay, and Carmel #421.  Please note that you will need to sign a waiver to walk in the parade.

Get a FREE #421 Hat or #421 T-Shirt When You Donate to Our Amy Burch “Medical Bills Relief” Fundraiser:

Do you shop local? And when you give to others less fortunate – do you give local?   #421 is again fundraising for “one of our own” who is continuing her battle with cancer.  Amy Burch is a council member in our lodge’s affiliated Job’s Daughters youth group. It goes without saying that Amy’s medical bills are an overwhelming challenge.  A challenge which simply will not go unchallenged by our lodge!  A modest $30 or more donation to Amy’s “Medical Bills Relief” fundraiser gets a big “Thank You!” from Amy and a cool custom #421 Hat or T-shirt!  SEE WHICH DONATIONS GET WHICH SWAG AT OUR DONATION LIST AT https://carmel421.com/foodbooth17

Our fundraiser for Amy will run until our very limited size quantities run out.  Watch for a fundraising donation link coming soon on our website, or make your donation in person, at our parade, food booth, or next event.  WM Philpott will have shirts available at the parade and the food booth. If there are any leftover, we will publish a link to purchase from the website.
